Trick

50-50 → Frontside Boardslide

A documented change-up from a centred flat-base 50-50 into a frontside boardslide on a flat-to-down feature.

HOW TO DO IT

50-50 → Frontside Boardslide — Turnbull Feature Example

A centred50-50 changes near a flat-to-down feature section through a flat-base pop to front-board support, then a realigned finish.

Preparation and setting

Stable50-50 and front board; the actual pitch transition must be inspected and coached.

Execution / application sequence

  1. Enter centred and flat.
  2. Prepare before the demonstrated down-section transition.
  3. Pop without setting an edge on support.
  4. Move the rear foot away into the front-board position.
  5. Receive front-foot-supported flat base.
  6. Realign for the outgoing landing and absorb..

Learning and practice

Rehearse the support change on an appropriate training setup. This transition location belongs to the specific feature.

Errors, limits and corrections

Hard edge pop may catch. Late preparation at the pitch change: regress. Generic timing for every rail is unsupported.

Observable checks

Two support positions and the feature-specific transition are distinguishable.

teaching summary — coaching review required

S13: a centred flat-base 50-50, then a flat-base pop near the down section; move the rear foot away into the front board, develop front-foot support and return the board toward travel alignment for landing. Transition timing is feature-specific.
