Bank Line and Exit Study
Observing a familiar bank at a controlled pace: where the bank redirects the board, where steering contributes and whether the intended exit is achieved.
HOW TO DO IT
Bank Line and Exit Study
A bank-line study identifies terrain assistance, rider steering and exit placement during grounded turns. It is separate from an airborne hip application.
Preparation and setting
A suitable familiar bank and controlled pace.
Execution / practice sequence
- Identify the intended entry and exit.
- Ride an established grounded turn.
- Observe where terrain redirects the board.
- Note where rider input contributes.
- Compare the actual exit with the plan.
- Change one placement variable and repeat.
How to learn / practise
Use an easy single bank before a sequence. Retain a stop or bypass option.
Errors and corrections
Assuming a bank automatically makes the turn loses the control goal. Adding air converts the task into a different application.
Observable checks
The rider can explain the line and deliberately reproduce the exit.
