Term
Binding angles
The rotational orientation of each binding relative to the board's reference axis.
GLOSSARY · Equipment, setup & maintenance
Binding angles are measured in degrees from a line across the board. A stance like +15/−15 (duck) suits riding both ways; +18/+6 (forward) suits directional and carving riding. Angles change comfort, steering and boot clearance.
Context and distinction
Binding angles are part of setup, alongside stance width and setback. Duck and forward stances describe angle combinations, not regular or goofy.
