Term
C-turn
An individual turn linking initiation, shaping and completion into a C-like path.
GLOSSARY · Turns & riding control
A C-turn is one complete turn that starts across the slope, passes through the fall line and finishes across the slope again, tracing a C. It is used to teach the full shape of a turn before turns are linked.
Context and distinction
A C-turn is a single turn that finishes across the hill; S-turns link C-turns on alternating edges; a J-turn starts from a straight glide rather than from across the slope.
