Term
Camber
A profile with an upward central arch when assessed in the stated unloaded reference condition.
GLOSSARY · Equipment, setup & maintenance
A cambered board, lying on flat ground, touches near the nose and tail and arches up in the middle. When the rider stands on it, the arch flattens and pressure spreads to the ends, giving strong edge grip, stability and pop.
Context and distinction
Camber arches up in the middle; rocker curves up at the ends. Hybrid profiles combine them, and manufacturers describe the details differently.
