Switch-upen · Synonym used by Snowboard Addiction (S2)GLOSSARY
In a change-up the rider switches from one slide or press to another while staying on the same feature, for example from a 50-50 to a boardslide. A small pop can be part of the change.
Context and distinction
A change-up stays on the feature; a transfer moves between features.

Switch-up / Change-up — Family
A change between supported tricks on the same feature. A small pop can occur; uninterrupted contact is not required, and transfer to another feature is distinct.
Preparation and setting
Both target positions independently controlled in the same practice context.
Execution / application sequence
- Name the first and second positions.
- Practise each separately.
- Rehearse the boundary without a long rewind.
- Receive the second support deliberately.
- Use an established exit.
- Record any pop and contact break..
Learning and practice
Training rehearsal should develop one flowing transition, not exploit unlimited carpet time. Actual feature geometry needs separate review.
Errors, limits and corrections
Long rewinding creates an unrealistic line. A feature-to-feature jump is not automatically this same-support family.
Observable checks
Ordered supports, contact break and exit are recorded without inventing direction.

Additional editorial review notes
S2: a change between supported tricks without leaving the feature entirely. It does not require uninterrupted base contact — a pop on the same feature differs from a transfer off it.
