HOW TO DO IT
Clearance: overhang; boot-out; board width; stance and edge-angle interaction
Current travel stance and natural regular/goofy stance are separate properties. Physical nose and tail retain their identity in switch travel. An edge supports direction through its relation to snow and travel. Edge angle is distinct from board heading and skid angle. Board geometry, flex, boots, bindings and rider task interact. A marketing category is not a measurement; adjustment procedures depend on the actual model and mounting system.
Preparation and setting
Use the setting and competence boundary below. This is a page-level learning/application text; use the exact linked movement for reproduction instructions.
Execution / application sequence
- State natural stance.
- State which end leads now.
- Describe the front/rear roles used in this lesson.
- Check the linked switch application independently.
- Identify supporting toe or heel edge.
- Observe when it is released.
- Check whether the board is carving or skidding.
- Change one timing cue and compare the path.
- Identify board, boot and binding model and compatibility.
- Read their current installation instructions.
- Measure and record the baseline setup.
- Change one supported adjustment at a time.
- Check attachment and clearance using manufacturer-approved methods.
- Compare a familiar modest riding task under similar conditions.
Learning and practice
Use a controlled experiment: expected effect, one change, observation and rollback. Keep comfort, response and clearance observations separate.
Errors, limits and corrections
Do not use another model's screw, torque or adjustment procedure. Universal stance angles and flex ratings are unsupported.
Observable checks
The page-specific task, conditions, known components and missing procedure can be explained. Successful application is checked in the actual task, not inferred from reading.
