Trick

Double Stiffy

Both hands hold the toe edge between the bindings with a stiff-legged style.

HOW TO DO IT

Double Stiffy

Both hands hold toe edge between bindings simultaneously with both legs extended. Double means two hands here.

Preparation and setting

Use comfortable stationary positioning or the appropriate supervised training-board context first. For any snow application, an independently controlled take-off, flight and landing must already exist; this card does not prescribe a new jump size or trajectory.

Execution / application sequence

  1. Establish the selected contact in comfortable positioning before changing airborne demand.
  2. Rehearse both hand contacts in a compact position.
  3. Add modest two-leg extension.
  4. Recover flexion and release both hands before landing..
  5. For a technically reviewed snow application, preserve the established take-off, take the hold only after departure, then release and recover board alignment before contact.

Learning and practice

Learn contact, route and modest styling as separate tasks. Rehearse the return as deliberately as the hold. Add a short contact to a familiar controlled air only after the specific version has been technically reviewed; shorten or omit the hold if landing organization becomes rushed.

Errors, limits and corrections

Sequential contacts are not the same record. Straightening before contact may pull the board out of reach.

Observable checks

The intended hand, contact zone and route are distinguishable; styling is modest and recoverable; the hold is deliberately released before landing.

Additional teaching summary — coaching review required

The written styling note combines a simultaneous two-handed toe-edge hold with straight-leg styling.

Additional editorial review notes

Double means two hands here, not two sequential grabs or two flips.
