Feature Presses

Nose and tail presses add fore/aft support to an aligned slide. Snow preparation and feature reception must remain separate.

HOW TO DO IT

Feature Presses

Nose and tail presses add fore/aft support to an aligned slide. Snow preparation and feature reception must remain separate.

Preparation and setting

Choose the documented existing component or feature context named below; apply the framework to one task at a time.

Execution / application sequence

  1. Establish support on snow.
  2. Practise a short neutral feature slide.
  3. Add a modest press on the familiar feature.
  4. Return to centre.
  5. Use an established exit before adding spin..

Learning and practice

Use the relevant individual cards to practise one component and one transition. Keep the original source context and regress to the earliest unstable phase rather than adding several new demands.

Errors, limits and corrections

Merely lifting a foot does not establish board loading. Toe/heel leaning on metal can spoil contact. Physical ends remain independent of switch travel.

Observable checks

The reader can identify the specified mechanical dimensions, select a suitable existing component and keep unresolved variants out of a completed how-to claim.
