Trick

Gap → Frontside Boardslide

A documented gap entry: clear a section of a flat-down or kinked feature, then establish a frontside boardslide.

HOW TO DO IT

Gap → Frontside Boardslide — Written Example

The source clears part of a flat-down/kinked feature before receiving flat-base front board. Distance, speed and take-off are site-specific.

Preparation and setting

Established front board, inspected suitable gap geometry and gap-to50-50 preparation with on-site instruction.

Execution / application sequence

  1. Confirm take-off, clearance and landing space.
  2. Use the already coached gap approach.
  3. Pop above the section to clear.
  4. Receive the documented front-board position flat-based.
  5. Contain unwanted lateral drift.
  6. Realign and absorb the exit..

Learning and practice

Learn gap clearance and support independently. No universal speed or distance is assigned.

Errors, limits and corrections

Low clearance cannot be corrected by twisting harder. Unsupported entry line: return to feature inspection and a simpler task.

Observable checks

Gap and slide reception are distinct; source example does not validate every gap rail.

teaching summary — coaching review required

S14 recommends established front-board control and a gap-to-50-50 rehearsal. Pop over the gap, establish flat-base front-board support, then realign the board and absorb the landing. No numerical speed guidance; gap distance, takeoff and landing geometry require on-site coaching.
