Highback
The binding component supporting the rear of the lower leg.
GLOSSARY · Equipment, setup & maintenance
The highback is the upright plate at the back of the binding. The rider pushes against it to tip the board onto the heel edge. Its stiffness, height and forward lean change how responsive the binding feels.
