Method
Hip Alignment Review
Comparing lip departure direction, airborne board alignment, first contact and ride-away with the chosen hip lesson.
HOW TO DO IT
Hip Alignment Review
Hip alignment review follows departure heading, airborne board heading, first contact and ride-away. It diagnoses where the selected basic pathway diverged.
Preparation and setting
A known intended line and comparable controlled attempts.
How to understand / apply it
- State the chosen lesson and feature.
- Observe departure direction.
- Record when airborne adjustment begins.
- Compare pre-contact board heading with the surface.
- Observe first contact and exit.
- Choose one correction at the earliest relevant phase.
How to learn / practise
Review plain airs before styling. Use a coach observation; no video asset is required in this text package.
Errors and corrections
Blaming landing rotation for a flight already sent elsewhere treats the wrong phase. Demanding a fixed degree value from the hip label invents geometry.
Observable checks
The identified mismatch and chosen correction correspond to an observed phase.

editorial review notes
Note whether unwanted edging changes the flight line; no fixed rotation amount from a feature label alone.
