Term
Intensity
How strongly an action is performed within a particular task.
GLOSSARY · Movement & mechanics
Intensity describes how strong or large a movement is: a small edge roll versus a big one, a light press versus a full press, a gentle versus an explosive pop. Matching intensity to the task is part of riding efficiently.
Context and distinction
Intensity is separate from timing and duration. A movement can be well timed but too strong or too weak for the terrain or speed.
