Term
J-turn
A glide that develops into a turn and a controlled finish across the slope, forming a J-like path.
GLOSSARY · Turns & riding control
The rider glides almost straight, then turns onto one edge and finishes across the slope, so the track forms a J. It teaches turning to a stop or to a traverse on each edge before full turns are linked.
Context and distinction
A J-turn begins from a straight glide; a C-turn begins and ends across the slope. Both are building blocks for linked S-turns.
