Method to Frontside Grab
HOW TO DO IT
Method to Frontside Grab
An ordered Method hold, release, then rear-hand toe-edge Frontside Grab, demonstrated by Forest Bailey. No fixed rotation is part of this contact sequence.
Preparation and setting
Use comfortable stationary positioning or the appropriate supervised training-board context first. For any snow application, an independently controlled take-off, flight and landing must already exist; this card does not prescribe a new jump size or trajectory.
Execution / application sequence
- Establish the selected contact in comfortable positioning before changing airborne demand.
- Establish each hold independently.
- Rehearse Method and recover from its tweak.
- Release the first hand before taking the second hold.
- Finish with a controlled return..
- For a technically reviewed snow application, preserve the established take-off, take the hold only after departure, then release and recover board alignment before contact.
Learning and practice
Learn contact, route and modest styling as separate tasks. Rehearse the return as deliberately as the hold. Add a short contact to a familiar controlled air only after the specific version has been technically reviewed; shorten or omit the hold if landing organization becomes rushed.
Errors, limits and corrections
Carrying the first tweak into an unreachable second hold: shorten the tweak. Do not assume a quantified airtime threshold.
Observable checks
The intended hand, contact zone and route are distinguishable; styling is modest and recoverable; the hold is deliberately released before landing.
