Moguls
Repeated snow bumps and troughs.
GLOSSARY · Terrain, snow & environment
Moguls are bumps that form as many riders and skiers turn in the same places, leaving mounds and troughs. Riding them needs quick turns, absorption and line choice around or over the bumps.
Context and distinction
Moguls are formed by traffic; rollers and pillows are larger terrain features. Some resorts also groom mogul runs on purpose.
