Nollie Backside 180 — Ground

A nose-loaded release into a backside half-turn.

HOW TO DO IT

Nollie Backside 180 — Ground

A nose-loaded release into a backside half-turn. It changes the departure support from ollie-based BS180 and requires recovery from nose loading before landing.

Preparation and setting

Controlled nollie, nose loading, backside 180 and switch landing.

Execution / application sequence

  1. Establish the glide and modest nose loading.
  2. Prepare the rear-shoulder movement without pitching the torso beyond the board.
  3. Release the nose as the backside rotation begins.
  4. Draw the board beneath the body.
  5. Recover balanced switch landing alignment.
  6. Absorb and continue switch travel.

Learning and practice

Practise nollies and backside half-turns separately. Begin with modest elevation and focus on the load-release-recover sequence.

Errors and corrections

Forward collapse: shorten loading and bring the hips back over the flight path. Rotation without release: return to nollie practice. Landing on an unintended edge: complete alignment before engagement.

Observable checks

The nose initiates the departure and the landing is a controlled switch ride-away.
