HOW TO DO IT

Reach Around / Reach Around Method

Front hand reaches behind the back to heel edge behind the rear foot. The source describes nose-down and Method-like styling.

Preparation and setting

Use comfortable stationary positioning or the appropriate supervised training-board context first. For any snow application, an independently controlled take-off, flight and landing must already exist; this card does not prescribe a new jump size or trajectory.

Execution / application sequence

  1. Establish the selected contact in comfortable positioning before changing airborne demand.
  2. Locate the behind-back heel contact in a comfortable training position.
  3. Keep its zone behind the rear foot.
  4. Explore a small board orientation change.
  5. Return without forcing shoulder or spinal range..
  6. For a technically reviewed snow application, preserve the established take-off, take the hold only after departure, then release and recover board alignment before contact.

Learning and practice

Learn contact, route and modest styling as separate tasks. Rehearse the return as deliberately as the hold. Add a short contact to a familiar controlled air only after the specific version has been technically reviewed; shorten or omit the hold if landing organization becomes rushed.

Errors, limits and corrections

Rear-hand cross-body Nuclear Method is a different route. Tail contact may be another named hold.

Observable checks

The intended hand, contact zone and route are distinguishable; styling is modest and recoverable; the hold is deliberately released before landing.

Additional teaching summary — coaching review required

Jagger Heckman's cited example (S4) describes a downward nose orientation and a Method-like tweak. This is styling evidence, not a complete tutorial.

Additional editorial review notes

Distinct from Nuclear Method's rear-hand cross-body reach, Dracula Method's two-hand hold and Bloody Dracula's tail contact.
