Rewind — Ground Usage
Saechika uses opposite upper/lower-body twisting, board elevation and a roughly 90 held board position before returning. This is a context-specific ground usage, distinct from a generic airborne reversal.
Preparation and setting
Small controlled board elevation, counterrotation awareness and a reliable return.
Execution / application sequence
- Prepare a small elevation with the hips over the board.
- Coordinate upper-body guidance with opposite lower-body movement.
- Set the source's modest angled board position.
- Hold briefly without continuing a whole-body spin.
- Reverse the separation toward normal alignment.
- Absorb and recover ordinary travel.
Learning and practice
Begin with a small shifty-like separation and immediate return. Increase duration only when support and landing remain calm.
Errors and corrections
Whole body rotates together: reduce range and isolate separation. Holding too long loses landing alignment: shorten the pause. Forced twist: reduce demand rather than wrenching the knees.
Observable checks
Opposition and return are visible, without assigning an unsupported conventional spin angle.

teaching summary — coaching review required
S9: coordinate preparation, upper-body action and counter-twisting; control the elevated position and return without losing balance.

editorial review notes
Kept alongside the airborne Rewind terminology from Batch 05; not a full airborne reversal and no conventional spin angle.
