Trick

Swallow Double Tail Grab

Rear hand successively grabs the two separate swallowtail tips.

HOW TO DO IT

Swallow Double Tail Grab

One rear hand holds one swallowtail tip, releases and then holds the other. Requires the relevant board shape; it is not a simultaneous two-hand Double Tail.

Preparation and setting

Use comfortable stationary positioning or the appropriate supervised training-board context first. For any snow application, an independently controlled take-off, flight and landing must already exist; this card does not prescribe a new jump size or trajectory.

Execution / application sequence

  1. Establish the selected contact in comfortable positioning before changing airborne demand.
  2. Identify both physical tail tips.
  3. Rehearse contact at one tip and complete release.
  4. Move to the other tip.
  5. Recover without treating tip changes as a spin..
  6. For a technically reviewed snow application, preserve the established take-off, take the hold only after departure, then release and recover board alignment before contact.

Learning and practice

Learn contact, route and modest styling as separate tasks. Rehearse the return as deliberately as the hold. Add a short contact to a familiar controlled air only after the specific version has been technically reviewed; shorten or omit the hold if landing organization becomes rushed.

Errors, limits and corrections

A conventional single-tail board cannot reproduce the described contact geometry. Do not manufacture equipment-independent hand zones.

Observable checks

The intended hand, contact zone and route are distinguishable; styling is modest and recoverable; the hold is deliberately released before landing.

Additional editorial review notes

Needs a swallowtail board shape. Sequential with one hand — distinct from the two-handed Double Tail Grab.
