Switch Backside 180
A switch backside half-turn returning to main stance.
Preparation and setting
Switch straight airs and backside half-turn familiarity.
How to do it
- Approach switch through a smooth heel-edge setup.
- Change to a light toe-edge carve up the lip.
- Flex and extend with the feature to add pop.
- Complete the backside half-turn.
- Use the source's blind-touchdown strategy and toe-edge control.
- Once balanced, look into the forward ride-away.
Learn it
Separate controlled switch entry from rotation; add the half-turn only when the entry is repeatable.
Errors and corrections
Further pivot after contact: revisit landing organization. Uneven departure: return to switch straight-air rehearsal.
Cues
Light toe setup; finish forward.
Successful attempt
Main-stance ride-away without a revert.
Boundary
The source's gaze language needs individual coaching; this card does not prescribe one head angle.
