HOW TO DO IT

Switch50-50

Lengthwise feature slide entered and maintained in switch. Physical nose/tail labels remain independent of leading travel end.

Preparation and setting

Switch travel, main-stance50-50 and a low familiar ride-on feature under instruction.

Execution / application sequence

  1. Inspect switch approach and exit visibility.
  2. Enter aligned without unnecessary rotation.
  3. Keep hips over the board and base appropriate to support.
  4. Maintain switch travel reference.
  5. Leave aligned.
  6. Absorb and continue switch..

Learning and practice

Start with a short ride-on feature and a neutral exit.180 entries add a separate reception demand.

Errors, limits and corrections

Inability to stop switch requires switch practice first. Shoulders turn to main stance early: reduce demand and maintain alignment.

Observable checks

Switch support and chosen ride-away are controlled.
