HOW TO DO IT
Toe Release–Slide–Stop with Route Look
Build toe-side edge control while retaining visibility and supported feet.
Preparation and setting
Gentle clear pitch, board across slope on uphill toe edge; downhill space inspected first.
Exercise sequence
- Find supportive lower-leg contact without tiptoe.
- Rehearse looking downhill comfortably while stationary.
- Release a little to start a short slide.
- Monitor route without abrupt board rotation.
- Re-engage progressively and hold a stable stop.
Transfer
Transfer to toe traverse and toe-side turn finishes.
Errors addressed
Tiptoe instability; Waist collapse; Heel-edge catch; Toe-side fear from poor visibility.
Success check
