Weddle Stiffy / Historical Mute Stiffy
Front hand holds toe edge between bindings while both legs extend. Retain the original Mute label in source metadata.
Preparation and setting
Use comfortable stationary positioning or the appropriate supervised training-board context first. For any snow application, an independently controlled take-off, flight and landing must already exist; this card does not prescribe a new jump size or trajectory.
Execution / application sequence
- Establish the selected contact in comfortable positioning before changing airborne demand.
- Establish the front-hand toe hold with knees tucked.
- Lengthen both legs while maintaining contact.
- Release and bring the knees back to absorb contact..
- For a technically reviewed snow application, preserve the established take-off, take the hold only after departure, then release and recover board alignment before contact.
Learning and practice
Learn contact, route and modest styling as separate tasks. Rehearse the return as deliberately as the hold. Add a short contact to a familiar controlled air only after the specific version has been technically reviewed; shorten or omit the hold if landing organization becomes rushed.
Errors, limits and corrections
Trying to reach with straight legs makes the board harder to hold. Source knee-locking rhetoric is not adopted as a joint instruction.
Observable checks
The intended hand, contact zone and route are distinguishable; styling is modest and recoverable; the hold is deliberately released before landing.

Additional teaching summary — coaching review required
The written styling note emphasizes extending both legs while holding the front-hand toe-edge grab. Its extreme knee-locking wording is retained as a source observation, not a universal coaching prescription.

Additional editorial review notes
Follow the existing Weddle nomenclature policy; preserve the historical source label rather than creating a duplicate card.
