Assessment

Observation against explicit criteria under stated conditions.

GLOSSARY · Learning, analysis & assessment

An assessment watches a rider perform a defined task in defined conditions and compares what happens with clear criteria — for example, linking ten turns on a blue run with speed control. It shows where the rider is now and what to work on next.

Context and distinction

An assessment checks current ability; a prerequisite is something needed before a task. Passing one assessment does not mean a rider is ready for everything that follows.
