Drill
Assisted versus added control
HOW TO DO IT
Assisted versus added control
make the learning transfer explicit.
Preparation and setting
Use the managed teaching feature, not a natural wall or mogul chosen solely for resemblance. The rider should demonstrate the preceding balance/glide task and understand the finish. The instructor checks that entry, bank and exit are open and functioning for that learner. No person should stand in the intended board path as a turning marker.
Exercise task
- first complete the instructor's assisted bank task. On a later appropriate attempt, add one small steering or edge-control focus selected by the instructor. Compare entry, board path and finish; identify whether the extra input helped or disrupted the terrain's assistance.
Transfer and success check
distinguish this context from AMTA-07. Success means a controlled exit and an accurate account of the assistance, not a claim that all turning is mastered.
Regression
return to balanced entry and one bank.
Progression
demonstrate the component on easy ordinary terrain before treating it as independent turning.
