Contact-to-Ordinary Bridge

Verify that a laid-turn exit supplies a functional opposite entry before adding second contact.

HOW TO DO IT

Contact-to-Ordinary Bridge

Verify that a laid-turn exit supplies a functional opposite entry before adding second contact.

Preparation and setting

One individual contact turn already returns predictably; ordinary opposite arc and stop available.

Exercise sequence

  1. Make the demonstrated contact turn and recover before movement range is exhausted.
  2. Choose an ordinary opposite turn rather than another contact task.
  3. Observe whether its entry requires a tail throw, aft correction or arm rescue.
  4. Stop after the pair and repeat from the other edge only if that individual contact turn is ready.
  5. Train the failed first-turn return separately. Do not deepen the ordinary second arc to hide a weak connection.

Transfer

Use ED16’s two-contact pair only after both bridge orders work. The ordinary second arc is a diagnostic, not a lesser style achievement.

Errors addressed

Contact turn succeeds but connection fails; Weak edge hidden in linking; Rescue traverse mistaken for completed linking.

Observable success

Both contact-to-ordinary orders produce a predictable opposite entry and deliberate exit.

Regression

Use shallower contact or return to ED09 non-contact recovery; keep the ordinary next task manageable.
