HOW TO DO IT
Distribution versus Twist: Separate Tests
Distinguish along-board support, different-foot tilt and longitudinal bend.
Preparation and setting
Stationary exploration then familiar clean short arc; no presses/hops; suitable known exit.
Exercise sequence
- Rehearse small fore/aft movement and return.
- Rehearse small different-foot tilt separately.
- Ride baseline arc.
- Test modest support change without shoulder impulse.
- Separately test reduced torsional disturbance.
- Recenter and compare trace plus next-entry access.
- Treat bend/release sensation qualitatively.
Transfer
Use with heel/toe refinement; full rebound training remains separate.
Errors addressed
Tail brush from distribution; Aft trap; Twist mistaken for longitudinal loading; Permanent front-foot percentage.
Success check
Rider names different controls and produces a useful change without compromising transition.
Simplify when needed
Shrink excursions or restore baseline; never combine larger inputs to conceal uncertain cause.
