Drill
Early Useful Support, Gradual Demand
Test earlier edge development without replacing it with an unsupported dive or a long inactive pause.
HOW TO DO IT
Early Useful Support, Gradual Demand
Test earlier edge development without replacing it with an unsupported dive or a long inactive pause.
Preparation and setting
Predictable release and short controlled arcs/pairs; same suitable shape and terrain.
Exercise sequence
- Observe old release and first useful new engagement.
- Repeat with modest earlier progressive support.
- Avoid adding a hard rotary/loading impulse immediately.
- Compare entry trace and finish demand.
- Test timing before intensity.
- Retain only useful change and repeat both transitions.
Transfer
Transfer to modest radius changes; recheck on new snow rather than copy fixed timing.
Errors addressed
Too-large early angle; Rotation before support; Patience interpreted as doing nothing; Late finish concentration.
Success check
Entry becomes more useful without inside fall, new catch or loss of speed control.
Simplify when needed
Reduce initial movement, restore CD09 or simplify to isolated arcs.
