Drill
Hold the Corridor
HOW TO DO IT
Modest Size and Corridor Variation
Vary a controlled carved path without confusing turn count with radius.
Preparation and setting
Clean short pairs and exit; quiet suitable corridor wide enough for baseline larger shape.
Exercise sequence
- Plan corridor, shape and stop.
- Ride familiar rounded baseline.
- Make one modest size change with progressive support.
- Compare real trace and speed trend.
- Test timing separately from intensity.
- Choose intentional blend or different terrain if pure path cannot fit.
- Exit deliberately.
Transfer
Build developed-turn versatility; exact radius modelling/race line requires further analysis.
Errors addressed
Rapid shallow wiggle called small carve; Tight finish brushes; Corridor exceeded; Printed sidecut treated as actual path.
Success check
Chosen variation fits route and controlled demand; performance is labelled from actual evidence.
Simplify when needed
Restore original shape, easier terrain or blend; never increase speed and narrow corridor together.

editorial review notes
Purpose: vary turn size without changing the observation area; observe track, speed trend and repeatability. An instructor should select terrain and difficulty; no laydown, airborne edge change or prescribed maximum inclination is required.
