HOW TO DO IT

Method, Orientation and Phase Identification

Use attributed terminology without confusing labels, setup and timing.

Preparation and setting

Method atlas read; comfortable stance; for riding, a familiar modest non-contact arc and stop.

Exercise sequence

  1. Name the chosen method and identify edge, current leading foot, board direction and shoulder/pelvis relationship.
  2. Explain Funcarve’s Plus/Minus/Half-Plus labels from EM09 without changing binding settings.
  3. Rehearse a small orientation change and return within comfortable range; record where movement is constrained.
  4. Transfer one modest change to an ordinary arc and identify its phase. Keep route and other demands familiar.
  5. Recheck the whole turn and retain or reject the hypothesis. Do not award a technique solely because the learner can name a pose.

Transfer

Use ECRC-17 for coordinated interpretation and ECRC-18 for session diagnosis. Terminology literacy supports teaching; it is not school certification.

Errors addressed

Binding signs confused with body labels; Diagram forced as exact posture; EC/Eurocarve/Vitelli treated as universal synonyms.

Observable success

Learner states source context, separates observation from mechanism claims and reproduces a modest functional action.

Regression

Use stationary identification and ED03 first. If a source term remains ambiguous, preserve the ambiguity instead of inventing its execution. ---
