Aliases
regular stanceen · Expanded formGLOSSARY · Orientation & naming
A regular rider naturally rides with the left foot nearer the nose. Stance is a personal preference, usually found by trying both directions, and it decides which edge is the toe edge on a frontside turn and how rotations are named for that rider.
Context and distinction
Regular and goofy are mirror images, not levels of skill. A regular rider riding with the right foot forward is riding switch, not goofy.
