Runout map and review
HOW TO DO IT
Runout map and review
test line planning rather than bravery.
Preparation and setting
Required: controlled soft-snow turns and a known stopping method. Begin with a short, fully visible resort runout where stopping early is inconvenient rather than hazardous. Identify a permitted walking or regrouping option if the board stalls. Do not practise momentum experiments above terrain traps or on a route requiring an uncontrolled straightline.
Exercise task
- describe entry, flattening point, exit and early-stop option. Ride the short known route at normal controlled demand. Record where momentum began to decay and whether unnecessary braking preceded it.
Transfer and success check
anticipate flatter sections during AMTA-14. Success means the exit was reached with steering available, or the fallback was used deliberately; it does not require forcing every crossing.
Regression
shorter runout or packed surface.
Progression
modestly longer visible continuation with the same controls.

Terrain, traffic, visibility, fatigue and stopping outcome must be reassessed for the actual session. No certification-body approval is claimed; coaching review is pending.
