Two-Arc Connection Test
Test whether the first finish actually supplies the next entry.
HOW TO DO IT
Two-Arc Connection Test
Test whether the first finish actually supplies the next entry.
Preparation and setting
Both single-arc cycles functional; broad visible lane with a deliberate stop after two arcs.
Exercise sequence
- Make one modest push-pull arc, leaving reserve at the finish.
- Bring the board closer and prepare a small usable orientation for the opposite turn.
- Release, transfer and establish the opposite working-edge response before growing the next leg movement.
- Stop after the second arc. Compare its entry with the first, noting any tail throw or fore-aft rescue.
- Reverse the starting edge. Practise the weaker order separately instead of hiding it in a longer run.
Transfer
Use this connection as preparation for edge-specific lowering, then retest before any contact pair.
Errors addressed
Late second entry; Incomplete first recovery; Directional connection asymmetry.
Observable success
Both pair orders connect without a rescue traverse needed for balance, and the final exit remains deliberate.
Regression
Allow an ordinary recovery traverse and explicitly mark linking incomplete; return to ED06 on the weaker edge.
